He also completed short-term training in Retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) from LV Prashad Eye Institute, Hyderabad, India.

Dr. Sohel Mahmud is an ex-Notredamian. Prior to Joining as a Consultant he also worked as a Medical Officer at Ispahani Islamia Eye Institute and Hospital. Now He is working as a Junior Consultant in the department of Retina of Ispahani Islamia Eye Institute and Hospital.
